BioCircuit $5000 Bio1 $350 Columns $1,200 Espiku = 85*5 = 425 JFT $200 Lena Bio $200 Ready Trading $70 The Henry Agency $210
5,000 - KA (biocircuit) 2,750 - Rebecca ($1500) & Manda $1250. - $30/hr + 20% taxes and overhead. That’s assuming I keep no overhead. How many hours am I actually spending on DS entities, to be able to spend more on BioCircuit?
If I commit 3 hours a day to BioCircuit, $7,000 per month at $100/hr. $84,000/yr for them, which is getting closer to full time salary but for only 40% time. Would be great for me though!
Need to pare costs down.
It feels like I’d be too busy to take on much more even without DS work. And then really reliant on BCT.
I need to actually know what services all the vendors are providing. Who can tell that? Can I ask Kurt on PS?
Do I quit working for DS entities? Or do I just do my basic work, get paid, but stop trying to help address issues? It’s a golden handcuff situation because it’s not satisfying to work that way, and I’m not developing other clients while locked into that.
Ask Bill what he wants.
What are my concerns? hipaa security. Not know which vendors are doing what.
How does it keep feeling like I’m not making money but working all the time? Pricing too low on columns and Jelena?
- Accumulate. Choose 1 off the following:
- Direct - directly related to the objectives of a project or department
- If direct, but applicable to multiple projects and can be determined how to allocate between them, do so.
- Indirect - benefits the company as a whole or is routinely treated as indirect
- See list of purchases treated as indirect by policy
- Direct - directly related to the objectives of a project or department
- Allocate
- Determine indirect rate(s) according to company policy (use consistent method, but can change from year to year.)
- Apply indirect rate to cost base per direct category
Create a table with three columns:
- Direct (umbrella)
- Cost Objective (Grant, Commercial)
- Unallowable
- Indirect
Rows are specific categories, with some specific examples as needed (eg for LB, include phone, Weebly)

Things to ask Espiku:
cast of characters, to know who can be involved in controls, who will be making purchases
Will they be manufacturing? What is expected process?
When do they expect to have sales?
Do they have any equity compensation?
What platform is best for documenting procedures (eg Google site or docs) that the company might already use?
should we develop a process that uses two internal people for controls, or just myself and Saskia?
each process should note the risks and reasons controls will mitigate those risks
I need to figure out the main process goals so I don’t get lost/go off on tangents on this project
Use example errors / fraud to simulate a “test”
- How would this be caught or prevented?
Stop wasting time looking for the perfect app. Just document procedures and create checklist manually.
